Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical degree and board certification required.
• Current licensure to practice medicine.
• Clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Understanding of clinical utilization review and healthcare regulations.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and collaborative problem solving.
• Experience with Revenue Cycle Services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between IU Health Revenue Cycle Services, hospital administration, and clinical staff.
• Assist in optimization of hospital services and resource utilization.
• Provide clinical expertise to Utilization Management for authorizations and reviews.
• Support payor denials management and concurrent reviews.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and ethical practice; mitigate conflicts.
