Job summary

Houston Grand Opera is seeking a Manager, Philanthropy Administration to oversee department-wide administrative processes for fundraising support. You will coordinate gift agreements, statements of intent, and probate/estate documentation, ensuring accurate records and coordinated donor engagement across Tessitura and related systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and experience in an office setting, with a preference for philanthropy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and experience in an office setting.
• Preference for philanthropy experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills supporting relationships with leadership, staff, and volunteers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with donor management software (e.g., Tessitura, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate department-wide administrative processes and workflows supporting Philanthropy initiatives.
• Manage gift agreements, statements of intent, probate and estate gift documentation.
• Maintain centralized, confidential Tessitura records reflecting bequest documentation and estate designations.
• Prepare gift acknowledgement letters, pledge reminders, and other gift-related correspondence.
• Support donor events, mailings, and stewardship initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity and accurate documentation across Tessitura and related systems.
