Job summary

Houston Grand Opera is seeking a Manager, Philanthropy Administration to oversee department-wide processes supporting fundraising. You will coordinate gift agreements, statements of intent, and probate and estate gift documentation, maintaining a confidential records system in Tessitura.

Strong organization and discretion are essential as you collaborate with Finance and other teams. This role offers a flexible schedule, health benefits, paid time off, a 403b plan with employer match,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; experience in philanthropy preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to support relationships with leadership, staff, and volunteers.
• Proficiency in donor management software (e.g., Tessitura, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate department-wide administrative processes and workflows to support philanthropy initiatives and fundraising operations.
• Coordinate gift agreements, statements of intent, and documentation; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage legacy gifts documentation and coordinate with donors, legal counsel, executors, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain confidential records for legacy gifts and ensure data reflected in Tessitura.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure gifts are properly documented, processed, and acknowledged.
