Job summary

Meeker Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Litchfield, MN seeks a Foundation & Development Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for fundraising programs, annual giving, major gifts, grants, planned giving, sponsorships, and donor stewardship.

You will lead grant development, cultivate relationships with donors and community partners, and supervise collaboration with the Foundation Board, the Marketing & Foundation Coordinator, and MMHC leadership to advance the organization's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, healthcare administration, public relations, marketing, communications or related field.
• Proven experience in nonprofit foundation management, including grant writing, donor relations and fundraising strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with Boards, executives, physicians, volunteers, donors, employees and community organizations.
• Experience with annual, special project, capital and deferred giving programs.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong project-management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings and community events.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary staff resource to the Foundation Board.
• Develop a multi-year philanthropic development plan aligning annual giving, gifts, grants, and community engagement.
• Develop annual fundraising plans with measurable goals.
• Maintain a donor and prospect pipeline.
• Monitor fundraising performance and report to CEO and Foundation Board.
• Oversee gift shop operations.
• Build relationships with donors, community leaders and stakeholders.
• Identify grant opportunities and manage grant applications and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
