Green Key Resources is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization in Washington, DC, to identify a Philanthropy & Development Coordinator to join their team. This role combines fundraising coordination, event support, executive administration, donor communication, and project coordination.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, polished, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with senior-level professionals and external stakeholders. This person should be able to manage competing priorities, handle confidential information, and keep projects and logistics moving in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to members of the fundraising and development team.
- Assist with the preparation of donor proposals, presentations, correspondence, and other fundraising materials.
- Coordinate logistics for donor meetings, events, receptions, retreats, and other organizational programs.
- Manage invitations, RSVPs, guest lists, event materials, and onsite logistics.
- Coordinate calendars and complex domestic travel arrangements for senior team members.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for donors, partners, internal teams, and other external contacts.
- Draft, proofread, and coordinate professional communications, including emails, letters, reminders, and other donor correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and confidential information in the organization's CRM and other internal systems.
- Track invoices, expenses, budgets, and other financial information.
- Prepare expense reports and assist with reconciliation and payment requests.
- Pull reports and assist with maintaining accurate data related to fundraising activities and donor information.
- Support internal systems, processes, and team projects.
- Assist with onboarding and training team members on department processes and systems.
- Partner with other departments to coordinate meetings, events, and organizational initiatives.
- Take initiative in identifying ways to improve processes and keep the team organized.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with a high level of discretion.
- Assist with additional projects and administrative needs as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in nonprofit, fundraising, development, events, communications, administrative coordination, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Professional presence and confidence communicating with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a larger team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with a CRM or database is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with collaboration platforms such as Teams or SharePoint is helpful.
- Fundraising or donor relations experience is preferred
