Job summary

City of Seattle is seeking a Performance Auditor (StratAdvsr1, Exempt) to lead systemic audits of SPD operations from the Office of Inspector General. The role focuses on incident reviews, payroll analysis, surveillance technology usage, and force applications. Hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office.

The successful candidate will use advanced Excel, conduct interviews, and present objective, data-driven findings to inform policy and accountability measures.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting audits under GAGAS.
• Ability to quickly become a subject matter expert through independent research.
• Experience interviewing subject matter experts and auditees.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance audits following GAGAS, defining criteria, risks, and testing plans.
• Collect, evaluate, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Conduct interviews and write accurate summaries of meetings.
• Articulate findings in public reports for policymakers and the public.
