Job summary

Avangrid seeks a Director, People Business Partner to guide the people strategy for the organization. You will build trusted relationships with senior leaders and drive alignment of HR initiatives with business priorities, ensuring effective service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

You will lead organizational design, workforce planning, and people programs, coaching leaders up to the C-suite while leveraging data insights to improve performance and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• At least 10 years HR experience.
• At least 3 years in an HR Generalist/Consultant role.
• At least 2 years in an HR Center of Excellence (e.g., Talent Management, Employee Relations).

Responsibilities

• High-level consulting, problem diagnosis, and solution development aligned with business goals.
• Contributes to and supports the company’s HR plans and workforce initiatives.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, and other HR functions.
• Coach leaders on complex people challenges and change.
• Strategize and execute organizational design and workforce plans.
• Lead core HR activities: headcount, costs, training, performance, pay and incentives.
• Support short- and long-term workforce strategies and transformations.
• Lead change and transformation initiatives across the business.
• Drive pragmatic solutions and manage projects with stakeholders.
