Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager for PCB (STARLINK) to drive sourcing strategies for hardware used in the Starlink constellation. You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing to ensure supplier readiness for prototypes and mass production.

Responsibilities include managing RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, developing should-cost models, and delivering cost reductions while presenting outcomes to executives. This onsite role is based in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, purchasing, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in one or more of the listed areas or 9+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Technical procurement or planning experience with PCB, PCBA, or electrical components.
• Experience with PCB fabrication and PCBAs and managing a high‑spend portfolio.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and with BOMs, work orders, and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing and cost management strategies with suppliers to support existing platforms and new product development.
• Gather and aggregate demand signals for hardware used in Starlink to enable accurate forecasting and rate.
• Manage RFIs, RFPs and RFQs as the supplier interface.
• Lead RFX processes with internal stakeholders and implement sourcing decisions.
• Drive cost reductions and process improvements with suppliers to meet budgets and forecasts.
• Develop should-cost models for competitive cost analysis and supplier comparisons.
• Ensure suppliers can support prototypes through mass production and ramp‑up.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives related to contracts and cost optimization.
• Maintain strong supplier partnerships and monitor supplier performance.
