Judson Independent School District in Live Oak, Texas is seeking a Director of Payroll to manage all payroll operations, develop compliance policies, and lead payroll staff. The role requires finance/accounting expertise, TRS and state payroll knowledge, and experience with district reporting.

The position reports to the Executive Director of Accounting and collaborates with Human Resources to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while upholding district policies and procedures.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field
• Knowledge of TEA accountability system preferred
• Knowledge of TRS rules and regulations
• Knowledge of state and federal payroll, withholding rules and regulations
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
• Ability to interpret district policies and procedures
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience with TRS reporting and school district payroll

Mansioni

• Oversee all payrolls and benefits to comply with audit standards and state/federal requirements
• Develop and implement payroll procedures to ensure timely processing
• Supervise payroll preparation and production for regular, special and supplemental payrolls
• Ensure accuracy of payroll data input and calculation and balance payrolls prior to disbursement
• Coordinate with Human Resources on hiring, leave, terminations and other employment issues
• Prepare tax forms (941s, W-2s) and manage payroll tax reconciliations
• Coordinate posting of payroll information to district websites and reports
