Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of payroll experience in a mid-size or large organization.
• Experience processing biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls with commissions.
• Hands-on payroll tax reconciliation and multi-state tax filings.
• Experience with workers’ compensation reporting and annual audits.
• Experience supporting 401(k) audits and compliance testing.
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll regulations.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• High accuracy, confidentiality, and analytical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-cycle payrolls with accuracy for biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly cycles.
• Calculate and process commission payments with data accuracy.
• Maintain payroll configurations and collaborate with HRIS on improvements.
• Prepare wage and premium reports for workers’ compensation and audits.
• Reconcile 401(k) contributions and assist with annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Build payroll reports and dashboards; analyze trends for improvements.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Benefits, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Respond to employee pay questions with timely, accurate information.
