Job summary

SteerBridge in Vienna, VA is seeking an experienced Payments Platform Product Owner to own the strategy, growth, and stakeholder relationships behind our payments platform, SteerFi. This role is not hands‑on coding; it drives progress through the right people and partners.

You will collaborate with Galileo, Mastercard, the VA, and our banking partner to translate relationships into concrete outcomes, define the vision, prioritize features, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• U.S. work authorization required.
• Eligible and able to pass a federal background check.
• Local to Vienna, VA/DMV area or willing to relocate; hybrid on-site.

• 10+ years in payments, FinTech, or financial services.
• 5+ years of Product Owner or Product Manager experience.
• Experience implementing payment solutions in production.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methods.
• Experience partnering with engineering on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Track record managing senior relationships with networks, processors, or banking partners.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for one or more payment products and guide implementations.
• Define product vision aligned with company strategy.
• Prioritize features based on customer value, revenue, regulatory requirements, and feasibility.
• Develop business cases for new payment capabilities and a roadmap for future models.
• Analyze industry trends and create a payments platform growth strategy.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and automation.
• Serve as SteerBridge's primary relationship owner with clients and partners.
• Lead vendor onboarding and banking integrations.
• Oversee compliance posture across the payments platform.
