Job summary

SteerBridge is seeking an experienced Payments Platform Product Owner to own the strategy, growth, and stakeholder relationships behind our payments platform SteerFi. This role is not hands-on coding but a driver who aligns the right people and partners to deliver the roadmap.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and guide platform growth with executives and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in payments/FinTech, 5+ years in Product Owner/Manager, strong relationship skills

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Eligible to pass a federal background check.
• Local to the Vienna, VA/DMV metro area or willing to relocate; hybrid schedule with regular on-site presence.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in payments, FinTech, or financial services.
• 5+ years of Product Owner or Product Manager experience or business capabilities focus.
• Experience implementing payment solutions in production environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working directly with engineering teams and managing senior-level relationships with payment networks, processors, or banking partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for one or more payment products and guide implementations.
• Define product vision aligned with company strategy.
• Prioritize features based on customer value, revenue opportunity, regulatory requirements, and feasibility.
• Develop business cases for new payment capabilities and a roadmap for future models.
• Analyze industry trends and create a payments platform strategy for growth.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and automation.
• Serve as SteerBridge's primary relationship owner with key clients and partners.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with partners.
• Safeguard SteerBridge's compliance posture across the payments platform.
