Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in payer contracting, provider contracting, managed care, or related healthcare strategy.
• Experience in a health system, hospital, healthcare organization, or payer environment.
• Strong contract negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong MS Office knowledge.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations, implementation, and ongoing management of payer agreements across MLH's service lines.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for assigned insurers.
• Analyze reimbursement methodologies, fee schedules, and contract performance.
• Support development of value-based reimbursement and innovative payer arrangements.
• Monitor contract performance and partner with leaders to improve revenue outcomes.
• Provide guidance on payer contract language and compensation terms.
• Facilitate meetings with payer reps and internal stakeholders.
• Stay informed on regulatory changes impacting managed care and reimbursement.
