Job summary

NYU Langone Health's Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a Business Development Manager - Physical Sciences within the Technology Opportunities & Ventures unit to drive IP protection, evaluation, and transfer of innovations to the marketplace.

The role focuses on physical sciences, software/hardware, medical devices, and digital health; requires collaboration with faculty, industry partners, and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering; minimum 3 years in business development, tech transfer, or related activities.

Responsibilities

• Engage with researchers to understand their work and discuss IP considerations.
• Coordinate with Principal Investigators and scientists; relay results to external collaborators.
• Negotiate license and research agreements with companies in consultation with senior leadership.
• Monitor and manage ongoing research collaborations and amendments as needed.
• Identify potential commercial partners for licensing NYU inventions and funding research.
• Prepare non-confidential marketing summaries highlighting inventors and applications.
