Job summary

Cover Whale is a leading commercial trucking insurtech seeking a Business Development Associate to drive partner growth and industry relationships. You will collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams to develop distribution and manage a portfolio of partners across the region.

You will research markets, coach partners through opportunities, track KPIs, and support events while maintaining CRM accuracy. Travel ~10–15% within your region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a fast-paced sales role.
• Experience onboarding and guiding new customers to realize value.
• Strong interpersonal skills to discuss technical and business topics.
• Ability to execute high-volume outreach and move opportunities forward.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams to develop and drive distribution and generate partner premium.
• Oversee a portfolio of partners, foster relationships, identify growth potential, and ensure performance.
• Provide pipeline support by researching target markets, potential partners, and competitive intelligence.
• Identify opportunities to further engage with current partners and execute growth.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs while meeting or exceeding goals.
• Assist in improving business development, partner management, and onboarding processes.
• Drive a positive brand image with outreach to trading partners and prospects.
• Support events and field presence within the assigned region, including logistics for retail-focused engagements.
• Monitor partner performance trends and flag risks to leadership.
• Maintain CRM accuracy in HubSpot with timely updates.
