Southern Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, is seeking a Financial Analyst to support partnership management across renewable assets and equity partners. You will engage with cross‑functional teams to analyze contracts, budgets, and performance metrics, delivering insights that drive value for internal and external stakeholders.

The role offers exposure to finance, business development, and governance activities, with opportunities to influence key decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Degree in technical or business field preferred
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus
• Experience interpreting legal agreements and communicating impacts to stakeholders
• Interest in renewable energy markets and partnership structures
• Project management experience across multiple projects
• Strong organizational and relationship-building skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
• Serve as a trusted relationship manager for assigned partners
• Support partnership governance by interpreting LLCA/MSA requirements and maintaining documentation
• Manage partnership obligations including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Prepare meeting materials and record minutes
• Coordinate budget development and communication
• Support cross‑functional coordination across various departments
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through standardization and automation
• Support market intelligence initiatives and strategic partnership efforts
