Job summary

Southern Power seeks a Financial Analyst to support the Partnerships team across 39 renewable assets and 13 partners. You will help manage relationships, interpret contractual requirements, and coordinate governance, reporting, and budgets.

The role blends finance, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree (MBA a plus), strong communication, and hands-on experience with data analytics and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Degree in technical or business field such as engineering, finance, economics, accounting, or equivalent preferred.
• An MBA or advanced degree in these areas or related field is a plus.
• Experience interpreting legal agreements and communicating impacts to stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Serve as a trusted relationship manager for assigned partners and communicate major developments.
• Support governance activities by interpreting LLCA and MSA requirements and maintaining documentation.
• Assist with reporting, meeting materials, and minutes for partnership meetings.
• Coordinate budgets, negotiations, and governance tracking across teams.
• Drive process improvements using automation, AI, or analytics where applicable.
