Job summary

UnitX in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships to break into major strategic accounts and guide opportunities from initial engagement through pilot, production, and global expansion.

You will build executive relationships with customers’ manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operations teams and translate AI-vision challenges into clear product and commercial opportunities for UnitX.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in business development, strategic accounts, enterprise sales, or partnerships applying AI or sensors to industrial customers.
• Proven success breaking into complex enterprise accounts from a cold start.
• Experience selling technically complex solutions with multiple stakeholders and long qualification cycles.
• Understanding of how advanced hardware products move from design into high‑volume manufacturing.
• Ability to engage with senior executives and technical teams in manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operations.
• Experience coordinating opportunities across North America and Asia‑Pacific.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to connect technical value to ROI.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for emerging verticals (AI data centers, advanced computing infrastructure, AI hardware).
• Break into high-value strategic accounts including AI infrastructure leaders.
• Build relationships with senior leaders across manufacturing, quality, engineering, operations, procurement, and supply-chain.
• Map each account’s global manufacturing ecosystem (factories, contract manufacturers, equipment partners, system integrators, suppliers).
• Identify high-value AI-powered inspection, assembly verification, process monitoring, and manufacturing automation opportunities.
• Translate customer challenges into defined product and commercial opportunities for UnitX.
• Lead opportunities from discovery and validation through negotiation, deployment, and expansion across factories and applications.
• Coordinate with Asia‑Pacific teams to ensure global deployment consistency.
