SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory’s Office of Technology Transfer and Strategic Partnerships seeks an outstanding Contracts Officer, Industry Partnerships. You will draft, negotiate, and finalize complex sponsored research agreements with industry and non-profits, guiding IP and publication rights, data rights, confidentiality, and export controls.

Strong communication and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize complex sponsored research related agreements.
• Advanced understanding of IP, publication rights, data rights and export control.
• Proven track record negotiating complex research-related agreements with industry and non-profits.
• Detail oriented and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication with faculty, researchers, staff, sponsors and management.
• Experience with contracts and grants administration.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize complex industry sponsored project agreements.
• Negotiate intellectual property and publication rights, including confidentiality and indemnification.
• Negotiate Material Transfer Agreements and data-use agreements.
• Advise clients on contract terms and interpret policies for stakeholders.
• Resolve contractual issues and ensure timely approvals and execution.
• Develop metrics for partnerships portfolio and provide training support.
