Job summary

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory seeks a Contracts Officer, Industry Partnerships, to formalize sponsored research partnerships between SLAC and the private sector, under minimal supervision. You will draft, negotiate, and finalize complex agreements, advise on IP, data rights, confidentiality, and export controls, and manage internal approvals and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in sponsored research administration and negotiating complex agreements.
• Ability to interpret terms on IP, publication rights, data rights, confidentiality and export controls.
• Strong communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize complex sponsored research related agreements.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders on terms related to IP, publication rights, data rights and export control.
• Manage the interface between internal stakeholders and external partners during negotiation and execution.
• Resolve contractual issues during lifecycle by consulting with stakeholders.
• Independently manage approvals and oversee contract amendments through to execution.
