Job summary

Vanderbilt University seeks an Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships to architect VALIANT's external relationships with industry, academia, and alumni. You will translate connections into durable value, shape strategic engagement, and partner with the Director and steering committee to grow the center's influence and funding pipeline.

You will lead industry affiliates and the AI Alumni Network, coordinate cross-university collaboration, and ensure programs run effectively, within budget,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or engineering or related discipline.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders including senior leaders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop outreach materials.

Responsibilities

• Direct and scale VALIANT's external-facing programs and partnerships.
• Represent VALIANT at industry events and drive engagement with affiliates and alumni.
• Develop relationships with faculty and staff to advance engagement goals.
• Manage MOUs and agreements with academic institutions.
• Coordinate tours, presentations, and affiliated materials for visitors.
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure successful, within-budget initiatives.
• Support flagship events with planning and logistics.
