Job summary

Howard University seeks a Partnership Development Strategist to advance strategic corporate and community partnerships across academics, research, and workforce development. You will identify, cultivate, and coordinate relationships with external partners that align with university priorities and student opportunities.

You will work with academic leaders to translate strengths into sponsorships, programs, and collaborations while tracking progress and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5-7 years in corporate partnerships or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing proposals and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement partnership strategies aligned with university priorities.
• Coordinate partnership-related projects across the Office of Corporate Relations.
• Identify opportunities and translate needs into external-facing partnerships.
• Collaborate with academic units to co-develop initiatives with corporate partners.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with corporate and community partners.
• Build and maintain a strategic pipeline of prospective partners.
• Support engagement opportunities with industry and research collaborations.
• Track activities and outcomes to inform reporting and strategy.
