Job summary

Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a Director of Partnerships to coordinate intake, assess opportunities, and manage alliance performance across research, translational, and clinical missions. You will work with faculty, legal, finance, and external partners to deliver measurable value.

The role requires extensive relationship management, strategic negotiation support, and governance oversight, with grants of leadership and accountability across multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, medical devices, diagnostics, academic research, technology commercialization, business development, strategic partnerships, alliance management, research administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake, assessment, and prioritization of partnership opportunities across multiple stakeholders.
• Support development of business cases and partnership recommendations for leadership review.
• Lead alliance governance processes, steering committees, and milestone tracking.
• Develop repeatable partnership models and engagement frameworks with internal cores and external partners.
• Drive cross-functional projects from concept through execution in a lean, collaborative environment.
