Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Paralegal Specialist in Midland, MI to provide broad paralegal support across corporate practice areas. You will review client requests, ensure accuracy, and help manage workflow to meet turnaround goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree; Associate degree and commitment to earn Bachelors degree within three years; or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher.
• A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a professional legal role.
• Demonstrated experience with contract/agreement processing, reviewing, drafting, negotiating, redlining, and amending.
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
• Paralegal experience in a corporate legal department; Effective written and verbal communication; Ability to work well in a dynamic, client- and team-focused environment with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming client requests, proactively assess such requests for gaps or legal risk, and apply work process standards to complete such requests.
• Adhere to established standards to drive consistency in service while identifying any areas of inefficiency, waste, or ambiguity.
• Meet or exceed committed turnaround times and positively impact metrics for the team and department.
