Job summary

ECAA is seeking a Director of Pain Operations to provide executive leadership for all pain-management divisions and practice locations in North Carolina. The role reports to the CEO and partners with physicians, APPs, and management to standardize operations, improve access, and strengthen financial performance.

The position requires on-site work at the Greenville corporate office with frequent travel to practice sites across the state; travel is essential for strategy execution and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in multi-site physician practice management with multiple locations or divisions.
• Experience leading complex healthcare operations with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Knowledge of physician practice financial performance, revenue cycle, and healthcare compliance.
• Experience using data, benchmarks, and performance indicators to drive improvement.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and change-management skills.
• Ability to work on-site at the Greenville, NC corporate office and travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for pain management services across divisions and practices.
• Lead financial and operational performance improvement in collaboration with leaders and staff.
• Identify and evaluate potential practice partners and de novo opportunities; support due diligence and expansion plans.
• Improve access, care coordination, provider performance, and patient experience across locations.
• Develop and monitor policies, workflows, and standards to ensure compliant, efficient care.
• Analyze data to identify trends and drive actionable improvement plans.
• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management to optimize registration, verification, prior authorizations, documentation, and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and clinical governance; oversee education, audits, and corrective actions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve access, quality, and service excellence in pain management.
