Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Procurement Manager, Packaging to lead strategic procurement of flexible packaging components across North America and Canada. Lead strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings with cross-functional teams.

The perfect candidate will have a Bachelor's (Master’s preferred) and 4+ years in procurement, with SAP/MS Office proficiency and strong negotiation skills. Travel both domestic and international is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Purchasing.
• Experience coordinating material requirements across multiple plants and contract manufacturers.
• Knowledge of regulated industries and supplier language.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement procurement strategies for flexible materials.
• Manage relationships with manufacturing facilities.
• Develop and implement cost-saving projects and financial forecasting.
• Negotiate contracts per company policies.
• Ensure compliance with related processes and procedures.
• Develop disruption mapping and mitigation strategies.
• Lead supplier selection and development with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure suppliers follow Scotts sustainability guidelines.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, costs, risks, and partnerships.
• Oversee a remote direct report; travel domestically and internationally as required.
