Job summary

Pharmavite seeks a Department Leader, Operations Training to guide capability strategy and workforce development across site operations. You will align training with business priorities, build scalable frameworks, and coach leaders and specialists to improve safety, quality, and performance.

You will lead with Lean principles, TWI, and structured problem solving, shaping the Training & Development function as a strategic partner in daily manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience designing and developing technical end-user training on multiple projects; project management experience.
• 4-6 years of related progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, learning and development, operations, continuous improvement, or organizational capability.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TWI, adult learning principles, and structured problem solving.
• TWI trainer certification within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Site Leadership to identify capability needs and translate priorities into workforce development roadmaps.
• Build frameworks for operators, technicians, leaders, and trainers; lead cross-training and workforce flexibility initiatives.
• Support leadership development and ensure capability systems are scalable across sites.
• Act as an operational performance partner to improve safety, quality, OEE, throughput, and start-up readiness.
• Coach and develop Training Specialists and Coordinators with clear priorities and accountability.
• Govern onboarding and qualification processes aligned with GMP and corporate requirements.
• Prioritize resources and balance onboarding, improvement initiatives, and surge training needs.
• Integrate Continuous Improvement and Lean into capability systems; support Kaizen events and process improvement.
