Leidos is seeking an Operations Planning SME to serve as a principal-level strategic planner for the JPP environment, translating guidance into executable plans and advising senior leaders on complex operations.

The role requires independent work, expert guidance on Joint Planning Process, development of OPORDs and CONOPS, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and Combatant Commands to support Crisis Action, Future Operations, and Deliberate planning.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 15 years of related experience in military operational planning (or Master's with 10 years).
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Expertise in the Joint Planning Process (JPP) from Planning Initiation to Plan/Order Development.
• In-depth knowledge of planning levels (Commander’s Estimate, BPLAN, CONPLAN, OPLAN) and planning types (Campaign, Contingency, Crisis Action).
• Deep understanding of Mission Analysis inputs/outputs and COA Development, including screening criteria.

Aufgaben

• Provide expert planning support for Crisis Action, Future Operations, and Deliberate planning in support of the J3 and J5 Directorates, developing strategic and operational plans with viable options.
• Compose and disseminate orders and directives (OPORDs, FRAGORDs) addressing complex policy and doctrinal issues and directing maneuver across multiple environments.
• Conduct rigorous Mission Analysis and lead COA development, wargaming, and evaluation using established criteria.
• Apply advanced planning concepts (COG, LOA/LOO, LOE) and the operational approach to solve complex problems.
