Job summary

CVTC seeks a dynamic Operations Officer to oversee operations and coordinate multiple departments in a fast-paced tribal government setting. You will collaborate with leadership to drive key initiatives, manage budgets, and monitor performance to ensure aligned goals with organizational values.

The ideal candidate brings strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a track record of improving operational outcomes, with a commitment to making a meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of supervisory and management experience.
• Valid driver's license; must remain insurable or obtain an Alaska State driver's license within 90 days.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or willingness to learn within 90 days.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Ability to hold staff accountable and motivate teams.
• Knowledge of finance, budgeting, grants management, and accreditation standards.
• Familiarity with Alaska Native Tribal governance and values.
• Service-oriented with a respectful approach to interactions with others.
