Job summary

Family Resource Center in Stockton, CA seeks a Chief Operating Officer to drive strategic and operational excellence across all programs. The role oversees executive leadership, program quality, and compliance while guiding cross‑functional collaboration to advance community impact.

You will lead Directors, integrate services, manage budgets and resources, and partner with the CEO and Board to plan long‑term growth and accountability. This is a mission‑driven senior leadership opportunity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated executive leadership with strategic direction and accountability across multiple programs.
• Strong organizational management skills for coordinating diverse departments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nonprofit management, fiscal oversight, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and financial analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and coaching for Directors of multiple programs.
• Lead integration of agency programs to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Oversee compliance with federal, state, local, and funding requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies to strengthen performance and accountability.
• Partner with CEO/board to drive strategic planning and organizational growth.
• Manage talent development, succession planning, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee budgeting, financial stewardship, and funding opportunities.
• Represent the agency with funders, partners, and community stakeholders.
