FMI Consulting (FMIC) is seeking a Director of Strategic Operations to build the operating systems and governance for scalable growth. Reporting to the President, you will partner with practice leaders to drive execution, optimize profitability, and implement enterprise‑level dashboards that unify commercial, operational, and financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, operations, management science, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership role supporting growth or operational scaling in a management consulting, advisory, or expert‑driven professional services organization.
• Experience building operational infrastructure and leading cross‑functional initiatives from strategy through implementation.
• Experience partnering with senior executives to improve execution and strengthen business performance.
• Strong understanding of consulting economics including utilization, realization, pricing, leverage, and project profitability.
• Ability to influence without direct authority in a partner-led environment.
• Strong executive presence, communication, sound judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguity while balancing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build the operating system, governance framework, and project management processes driving execution across FMIC's strategic priorities.
• Partner with practice leaders to strengthen Salesforce adoption, pipeline visibility, pricing discipline, utilization management, project profitability, and overall performance.
• Develop integrated dashboards and reporting connecting commercial, operational, and financial data into actionable insights.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives from planning through implementation with alignment and accountability.
• Accelerate adoption of AI, automation, and workflow technologies with high‑value use cases and scalable solutions.
• Provide executive‑level analysis, recommendations, and decision support to help leadership prioritize initiatives and allocate resources.
