Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a senior project leader to collaborate with the Office of Talent and other executives. You will oversee enterprise-scale initiatives from inception through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive strategy and execution.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, KPI tracking, risk management, and change leadership as you align programs with board priorities and the district's strategic roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years managing or supporting complex projects, including planning, budgeting, resource and risk management.
• Lead for racial and educational equity; support all students with access to high quality education.
• Residence in Colorado required.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a senior advisor to executive leadership on strategic planning, governance, policy, and enterprise initiatives within the Office of Talent.
• Leads, designs, implements and monitors large-scale projects aligned with the district's roadmap and initiatives.
• Collaborates with department leaders to develop vision and strategy for district initiatives; develops recommendations from diverse stakeholder feedback.
• Tracks program milestones and KPIs; gathers data to evaluate effectiveness and inform course corrections.
• Establishes relationships with internal/external stakeholders to inform deliverables and support data-informed decisions.
• Partners with Communications to develop strategies for broad awareness and buy-in.
• Leads change management to facilitate implementation; serves as subject matter expert on assigned projects.
• Researches best practices from other districts to inform program design.
• Blends strategic foresight with execution oversight across initiatives; drives leadership across the Office of Talent.
• Leads data analysis efforts focusing on leading and lagging indicators (e.g., retention).
