Job summary

Hope Villages of America (HVA) seeks a Chief of Staff to serve as a trusted advisor to the President & CEO, translating organizational strategy into coordinated action across programs and departments in Clearwater, FL. The role supports leadership, planning, and cross-functional initiatives to advance HVA’s mission.

The position requires strategic planning, board governance experience, and at least 5 years in leadership or advisory roles within a nonprofit or related sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including cross-functional project management, operations, or strategic planning; experience in a Chief of Staff, operations, or executive advisory role preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operational plans, track performance measures, and hold teams accountable for results.
• Experience supporting a Board of Directors and working knowledge of nonprofit governance practices.
• Knowledge of human and/or social services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the President & CEO.
• Translates priorities and strategy into clear plans, responsibilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Provides timely information, analysis, and recommendations on organizational matters.
• Identifies issues requiring executive attention and facilitates solutions across departments.
• Represents the President & CEO internally when appropriate.
