Job summary

Astro Pak is seeking a Buyer – Operations & Project Readiness to support field execution across active and upcoming projects. You will be the link between Operations, Project Management, Scheduling, Field Leadership, and vendors to ensure timely access to materials, equipment, and supplies for safe, efficient work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related field preferred.
• Experience in procurement, operations support, logistics, construction, or manufacturing.
• Strong vendor management and supplier relationship experience.
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and service agreements.
• Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of chemicals, hoses, fittings, consumables, PPE, and project-related materials.
• Source and manage rental equipment required for project execution.
• Negotiate pricing, availability and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Identify cost savings and procurement efficiencies.
• Monitor vendor performance for quality and responsiveness.
• Ensure projects are fully equipped and operational prior to mobilization.
• Collaborate with Operations Managers, Project Leaders, and Scheduling teams to forecast requirements.
• Track material availability, delivery timelines, and rental equipment; resolve procurement issues.
• Support field teams with urgent operational requests and changes.
• Maintain procurement records and supporting documentation.
