Job summary
Mirantis, Inc. is seeking a Principal Customer Engineer to serve as the trusted technical partner for a small set of strategic accounts.
You will own technical relationships, drive deeper product integration, and translate customer needs into credible product input while collaborating with the broader Mirantis team. You will lead architecture reviews, upgrade planning, and health checks, both remotely and on-site, and you will advocate for customers across Product, Engineering, Support, and CS
Qualifications
- 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role
- Proven track record with large enterprise customers
- Expert‑level Kubernetes operating knowledge
- Strong Linux systems and networking fundamentals
- Hands‑on knowledge of OpenStack services including Nova/Neutron/Cinder/Keystone/Glance
- Willingness to travel to customer sites (20–30%)
Responsibilities
- Own the technical relationship with strategic customers (5–8 accounts)
- Build deep knowledge of each customer's architecture and platform
- Drive deeper product integration and roadmap alignment
- Lead technical alignment between customer and Mirantis Product/Engineering
- Run regular architecture reviews, upgrade planning, and health checks
- Collaborate with Support on high-impact cases and issue resolution
- Advocate for the customer across Product, Engineering, Support, and CS
- Work with the account team while maintaining the technical depth post‑sale
- Contribute to internal enablement and reference architectures
