Job summary

1199seiubenefits is seeking a healthcare recruitment specialist to lead nursing-focused hiring across CNAs, LPNs, and RNs. You will screen, interview, and place candidates with healthcare employer partners, while verifying credentials and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with Career Services and workforce teams to support job readiness, interview preparation, and placement outcomes, and travel across the five boroughs and Hudson Valley as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, healthcare administration, business, or related field required.
• 2+ years of high-volume healthcare recruitment experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting nursing professionals (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) preferred.
• Familiarity with credentialing and licensing processes in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive recruitment strategies to attract healthcare professionals, focusing on nursing titles (CNAs, LPNs, RNs).
• Recruit, screen, interview, and assess candidates for qualifications and fit for healthcare partner needs.
• Match candidates with opportunities based on clinical background, scheduling, credentialing, and readiness.
• Review resumes to ensure employer qualifications and credentialing standards are met.
• Serve as a specialized resource for nursing recruitment within Employment and Job Placement.
• Support recruitment for additional healthcare titles to meet workforce needs.
• Collaborate with Career Services to aid job readiness, interview prep, and resume support.
• Coordinate with JSF, Career Services, and Employer Relations to assist transitioning healthcare professionals.
• Verify licenses and credentials via NYS systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Build relationships with HR leaders, Nursing Directors, employers, and workforce partners.
• Manage recruitment workflows in ATS (iCIMS) with documentation and reporting.
• Monitor activity, pipelines, and KPIs related to healthcare recruitment initiatives.
• Identify workforce trends and barriers with internal teams to improve placement outcomes.
• Develop recruitment materials and postings for internal/external use.
• Represent the division at healthcare hiring events and workforce initiatives.
• Ensure policy compliance, CBA considerations, and process improvements.
• Provide professional, empathetic candidate support throughout recruitment.
