This full-time exempt role provides strategic guidance to senior management to support timely, accurate decision-making. Key duties include maintaining GAAP-compliant ledgers, coordinating month-end and year-end closes, overseeing audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding

Qualifications

• 8 years of progressively responsible financial management experience, including supervisory or fiscal leadership.
• Experience in nonprofit, grant-funded, or similarly regulated environment preferred.
• CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages financial and accounting operations in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensures integrity of core accounting functions, month-end and year-end close.
• Ensures financial systems security and data integrity protections.
• Manages agency cash flow, cash forecasting, and banking activity.
• Ensures compliance with external funding and regulatory requirements.
• Provides internal financial reports to senior management monthly.
• Oversees annual audit and Single Audit processes.
• Establishes fiscal policies and procedures; ensures adherence.
• Provides supervision to Fiscal Department staff and cross-training.
• Leads annual budget and forecasting for new programs.
• Negotiates contracts with vendors and bankers.
• Pursues professional development in accounting and systems technology.
