Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking an Associate Director to lead our network contracting team and shape provider networks nationwide from a remote location in the U.S. You will drive unit cost performance, pricing models, and strategic network initiatives.

You will collaborate with leaders across the organization to implement market strategies, improve care quality, and control costs while delivering results at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory network management experience with accountability for business results.
• 4+ years of experience managing a medical cost and administrative budget.
• 2+ years developing product pricing and utilizing financial modeling for rate decisions.
• 2+ years of experience with provider contracting large health systems, large hospitals, large medical groups, and VBC incentive agreements.
• Expert level knowledge of Medicare Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS), DRGs, Ambulatory Surgery Center Groupers, etc.
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
• All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy

Responsibilities

• Guide development of geographically competitive, broad access, stable networks that achieve objectives for unit cost performance and trend management
• Develop functional, market level and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities
• Apply network configuration and incentive-based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiency
• Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems
• Direct work that impacts entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)
