Job summary

Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. is seeking an experienced NDT/NDE Program Manager to lead the NDT program across ship repair and industrial fabrication for government and commercial customers. You will supervise training, audits, documentation, and compliance with NAVSEA and ASNT standards.

The role requires strong leadership, deep NDT knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure safety and quality in all NDT activities at the Norfolk facility.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in NDT/NDE program management in shipyard/industrial fabrication.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA standards and ASNT TC-1A requirements.
• NDT VT/MT/PT/UT qualifications or ability to obtain quickly.
• Experience in audits, training, and documentation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee NDT program meeting ASNT-TC-1A, NAVSEA 271, and customer requirements.
• Develop and review NDT procedures and certifications for adequacy and meeting contract requirements.
• Manage NDT testing, training, inspection, surveillances, inspectors’ records, and eye examinations as required.
• Ensure NDT equipment availability, maintenance, and compliance with job requirements.
• Lead internal/third-party audits and provide technical guidance to production/operations teams.
