Elevance Health is seeking a National Accounts Strategic Underwriter to provide strategic underwriting support for national account clients. You will model financial outcomes, assess risk, and craft multi-year pricing aligned with client needs.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration to deliver tailored solutions that drive growth and retention. The position supports hybrid in-office work (1–2 days on-site) with flexibility for commuting distance and potential alternate locations.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in large group insurance underwriting, actuarial analysis, or strategic finance.
• ASA/FSA, CFA, or CEBS credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create competitive, financially sound proposals for business growth and renewals.
• Collaborate on RFPs.
• Lead contract customization and negotiations, ensuring accurate financial outcomes and risk mitigation.
• Assist in the technical development of underwriting associates, monitoring reports and workflow improvements.
