Job summary

Maersk in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead indirect procurement and multimodal sourcing across drayage, ocean, cross-border, LCL, air, and 4PL. In this individual contributor role, you will manage vendor sourcing, quotations, rate cards, procurement proposals, and supplier relationships while ensuring the customer maintains visibility and final approval.

Qualifications

• Experience in indirect procurement, ideally in logistics or 4PL environments.
• Sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with transportation suppliers.
• Ability to manage proposals, rate cards, and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement of indirect goods and services for the customer and business operations.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with transportation suppliers across multiple modes.
• Manage annual drayage/first-mile tender, maintain rate cards, and provide quotes to operations.
• Develop pricing proposals and procurement recommendations for customer review and approval.
• Review freight audits, validate disputed rates, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and participate in regular procurement check-ins with the customer.
• Monitor vendor performance, contractual compliance, and policy alignment.
