Job summary

Penske Logistics seeks a General Manager to lead a major strategic customer portfolio across locations, drive efficiency per contract, and strengthen customer relationships. You will steer talent, profitability, and service delivery while pursuing growth opportunities globally.

Responsibilities include developing plans, managing P&L, and collaborating with the Customer Experience Team to expand the business and align resources with client needs.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years related logistics experience.
• 5–8 years managerial experience, including multi-site P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; degree required for advancement.
• Customer relationship management with demonstrated sales success.
• Project management including start-up/close-down experience.
• Engineering/IT awareness and knowledge of supply chain tools (routing, TMS, WMS).
• Experience across multiple supply chain service lines is a plus.
• Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels.
• Strong financial experience and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel and meet scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities for associates to work on meaningful projects to increase knowledge sharing and development.
• Interview and hire salaried associates up to Region Manager level.
• Develop, mentor and promote strong performers at all levels of operations.
• Drive consistent operational performance across locations with focus on safety, service and cost.
• Ensure all operations are correctly staffed and organized to maximize performance.
• Manages P&L and revenue growth for multiple regions or territories.
• Negotiate with customers for rate increases, scope changes, etc.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers at multiple levels within customer organizations.
• Work with Customer Experience Team to develop and maintain strategic growth plans.
