Job summary

RECARO Aircraft Seating in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to execute POs for serial production parts in line with MRP requirements and the master production schedule. You will manage supplier delivery dates while mitigating delays and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

You will verify PO terms, monitor pricing and lead times, and coordinate inbound transportation, inspections, and expediting efforts with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field plus 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement or a related field with no degree.
• Professional attitude, positive outlook, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Place POs for all parts assigned per MRP to support the master production schedule.
• Verify all terms and conditions of the PO with supplier.
• Confirm all POs, to include quantities and delivery dates, with suppliers.
• Manage system notifications and expedite decisions to support production schedules.
• Manage open orders and communicate with suppliers on a regular basis to confirm delivery schedules.
• Maintain current pricing and lead times in the system of record.
• Mitigate delays impacting production schedules with coordination across teams.
• Escalate unmitigated situations.
• Oversee inbound transportation and coordinate with Logistics and Quality for deliveries outside normal schedule.
• Monitor and expedite shortages to avoid production delays and adjust build plans.
• Monitor inventory levels to minimize excess/obsolete inventory and drive just-in-time delivery.
• Track design changes for inventory disposition and potential rework.
• Monitor Quality Nonconformance (Q notes) and ensure parts availability to complete builds.
• Place POs for replacement parts and expedite as needed.
