Job summary

AD Mortgage LLC seeks an experienced Deputy General Counsel to support legal and regulatory functions for a growing mortgage lending and servicing organization. You will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, partnering with operations, compliance, capital markets, servicing, HR, and technology teams.

The role requires 2+ years of mortgage/consumer finance experience, a JD, and a strong grasp of mortgage regulations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 2+ years of legal experience in mortgage banking, consumer finance, financial services, or fintech.
• Experience advising senior executives and business stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending and servicing regulations, consumer finance laws, regulatory compliance frameworks, and commercial contracting.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory & Compliance Counsel: Advise on federal and state mortgage banking laws and support regulatory exams and investigations.
• Commercial & Transactional Support: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and support strategic initiatives.
• Litigation & Risk Management: Manage litigation and advise on employment, consumer protection, and servicing matters.
• Corporate Governance & Leadership: Support governance initiatives and mentor junior team members.
