The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) seeks a Sales and Business Relationship Manager to grow loans and investments by aligning financial solutions with ministry goals. This Chicago hybrid role focuses on regional engagement, portfolio stewardship, and developing strong partnerships with ministry leaders.

The position requires 5–7+ years in sales/relationship management within ministry finance, with strong communication and CRM skills. Travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in sales/relationship management or ministry finance
• Solid understanding of ministry financial needs and lending/investment basics
• Experience representing org at regional/community events
• Ability to build long-term relationships with pastors and ministry leaders
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and consultative selling skills
• Portfolio management experience; familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce)
• Detail-oriented with ability to document relational notes
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and anti-racism
• Appreciation for ELCA Mission Investment Fund and ELCA Federal Credit Union values
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and basic troubleshooting
