Job summary

KBR, Inc. in El Segundo, CA seeks a Strategic Requirements Systems Engineer to develop and manage MILSATCOM system requirements using DOORS and related tools.

You will work with government stakeholders and contractors to resolve gaps and align verification activities with schedules, architecture, and CONOPS. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field, 8+ years in satellite/aerospace, and experience with DoD programs; eligible for SECRET/TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.
• Experience developing or managing requirements and verification products for complex systems.
• 8+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and maintain system requirements using DOORS to align with mission objectives and technical baselines.
• Evaluate requirements for quality, completeness, consistency, feasibility, testability, and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, and SMEs to resolve gaps and ambiguities.
• Work with Configuration Management for ERBs and CCBs; identify risks and drive issue resolution.
• Support verification planning and analysis, and align activities with schedules and architectural baselines.
• Lead requirements reviews and technical interchange meetings to drive alignment and disposition of comments and actions.
• Develop acquisition and technical requirements-related briefings and papers for government decision making.
