Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Evolved Strategic Systems (ESS) Ground Systems Integration Engineer to join the team in El Segundo, CA. This on-site role supports MILSATCOM ground architectures and cross-stakeholder integration within a secure facility.

The candidate will lead SE&I activities, apply MBSE and digital engineering methods, and work with government and contractors to resolve technical gaps. A minimum 15 years of aerospace/defense systems experience and a U.S. clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years experience in systems engineering, integration, or architecture development for complex aerospace, defense, or space systems.
• Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programs.
• Experience working with military and DoD civilians.
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground systems engineering and integration activities to develop, define, and implement ESS ground architectures and baselines across multiple programs.
• Perform analysis of system requirements to define the technical baseline and verification activities.
• Apply MBSE, Digital Twins, digital threads, and analytical models to develop ground architectures and verify behavior.
• Collaborate with Government and contractor teams to resolve gaps, document requirements, and support reviews.
• Lead and participate in Working Group meetings, develop briefings, and write clear action items and minutes.
