Central Insurance is seeking a Middle Market Underwriter to manage and underwrite an assigned book of business. You will be responsible for selecting profitable new business and maintaining strong relationships with agents.

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in Commercial Lines Underwriting, or 4 years of related experience. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model in Waltham, MA.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Commercial Lines Underwriting or 4 years of experience.
• Ability to travel to assigned agents including occasional overnight.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and underwrite assigned book of middle market business.
• Select profitable new business through analysis.
• Classify and price risks appropriately.
