Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking a senior purchasing professional to lead direct material strategy for metals. You will manage supplier relationships, develop market insights, and forecast raw material needs using complex datasets.

This role drives total cost management and mitigation of material risks across the supply chain. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in purchasing or SCM, experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, QAD), and a collaborative, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Purchasing or SCM.
• Experience with commodity purchasing, preferably automotive/metals.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial strategy and supplier management for direct material commodities, metals.
• Build market analyses and commodity strategies with supply base development.
• Develop raw material forecasts using complex datasets and feedbacks.
• Lead total cost management across the supply chain.
• Drive material risk mitigation for continuity, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Negotiate and execute supplier agreements and NDAs per standards.
• Partner globally with R&D, material technology, and operations to align sourcing with innovation.
