Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support branch-level planning for Carbon Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel. You will coordinate with sales and suppliers, maintain purchase orders, and drive inventory efficiency. A strong data-driven approach and 3+ years in procurement are essential for success.

Travel to supported branches monthly is expected; you will align with the Regional Procurement Manager to optimize inventory and lead-time. This is an on-site role in Dallas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field required.
  • 3+ years in purchasing, supply chain planning, materials or commodity management.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with forecasting, replenishment and inventory management.
  • Proven negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Align with Regional Procurement Manager on procurement strategies for key metals.
  • Lead demand planning at branch level for bundled items and contracted work.
  • Coordinate with sales on pricing, lead-time and inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory performance and ensure adherence to enterprise procurement practices.
  • Track KPIs: cost savings, variance and on-time delivery; report to Regional Procurement Manager.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders; support safety and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Provide procurement guidance to the sales team.
